The classic tale, based on the children's book written by E.T.A Hoffmann just over 200 years ago, has taken many forms over the years but none so great as Tchaikovsky's ballet. From the spine-tingling opening strains of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy to the regal opening March, the legendary score and it's marriage with Marius Petipa's original choreography has stood the test of time to become the world's favorite Yuletide tradition.
